Jaclyn + Olivia
Jaclyn + Olivia got married at a private estate in New Orleans, planned by Clark + Kelly Events- they had a wonderfully eclectic and artistic vision and inspiration that I was so excited to explore. They are book lovers- so the added bookmark as a guest keepsake was such a personal and functional touch- as well as the addition of black and flash of gold- really brought the entire suite to an entirely different place visually and artistically. They referenced so much black and white art and photography in their inspiration, I knew it would be a great way to find a cohesive path to balance all the elements for a show stopping experience for their guests. (Plus all the strong iconic women we used for their postage!)
Allison + Antonio
Allison is originally from NY, and moved to Mexico where she met Antonio. They got married in San Miguel de Allende - which is SO rich in tradition and history. One of the biggest details that Allison wanted to highlight through her stationery- was the Callejoneada (the guest parade from the ceremony to the reception- complete with tequila toting donkey and life size paper mache puppets of the bride and groom) This gave me SO much to pull from. We wanted to bridge the bright flavor and colors of the area with also a touch of Old World Mexico. This is still one of my favorite stationery experiences to talk about in terms of inspiration to delivery.

Kim + Rob
Kim + Rob got married at the Jersey Shore at the end of September. I worked with Paige from Gilded Lily on this event- I love how the color palette is the perfect summer-to-fall transition, very complex and unexpected (which tends to be my favorite)- we included some darker shades of blue for added contrast throughout the stationery.
I had the best experience in regards to curating their vintage postage. The typical process is to make sure I’m on the right page- design and color-wise in the first couple proofs, then I’ll circle back and put together a relevant postage collection that meets the mailing rate. (usually in both both color- and meaning, if I can find elements that fit!) In this case, we added the ballerina for Robert’s grown daughter - I included Georgia O’Keefe’s poppy painting- for three reasons, it’s one of my favorite stamps, the color couldn’t be beat given the palette and it helped us hit our target postal rate. HOWEVER, upon a discussion with the bride- come to find out it had such a deeper meaning to them as a couple. They had just met- and his father had recently passed, they went to his house together and in his father’s room, this painting was hanging on the wall. When he viewed the proof, the Groom assumed that Kim had instructed me to use it (which would’ve been amazingly thoughtful!) but really it was such an awesome kismet experience. I still get chills when I think about it- and it made the entire experience so special for them.
