Past Work / inspiration

Hi Marsha + Billy! I wanted you to understand a bit more about my creative process in a visual manner. Below you’ll find a brief description of each design as well as anything notable that we encountered. I really enjoyed reflecting back and reminiscing and bit on my favorite work- and I’m so happy to share these back end details with you!

Nicole + Scott

I worked with Paige for Gilded Lily Events on this project- (They did reschedule for July 2021, so we’ll be picking this back up early next year.) I had so much fun exploring this color palette. Different shades of grey and sagey-greens while also pulling in some pops of navy in the postage. I did explore a more mustard gold for the reply envelope- but we decided to tone it down with a neutral walnut color to keep the suite grounded. The trellis was the inspiration for the recurring geometric patterns and blind impression seen throughout the suite- with the additional texture of the “lambs ear” shade of handmade paper.

Jenna + Ryan

Jenna + Ryan got married in Montauk- they wanted a modern luxury invitation suite- that really felt like Montauk, beachy, but still really classy and exciting- without being “themey”. Jenna really loved the idea of small touches of gold- and acrylic - which is where my signature coaster (turned into acrylic, gold foil coaster) comes in- very reminiscent of the cafe lights on the back patio overlooking the ocean..

The entire stationery suite was SO much fun to pull together- I love being able to pull apart and reconstruct the invitation suite in bits and pieces throughout the event day stationery (and save the dates!) And we explored a bit more acrylic in guest place cards and large signage.

Amanda + Phil

Amanda came to me with a fairly quick turnaround for her wedding in France. She had a wonderfully eclectic vision with a VERY complex transitional color palette. We included a sketch of the Chateau on the wax seal - to bridge the gap from the save the dates that she had already sent. She didn’t send any inspiration photos- but the floral arch they created over the doorway was such a beautiful representation of everything I imagined when she described her wedding day.

I really loved the idea of adding texture to the invitation- in addition to the black duplex for a touch of sass (for lack of a better word!) The vellum overlay created a really beautiful reveal experience for her guests while they start to take in the bold mix of colors and texture. After the invitation process I was in touch with planner Jennifer Fox for the event details.

The wedding was featured on Over The Moon and Chateau de Varennes culled the feature on instagram beautifully.
